Cooking in the Landscape
Cooking in the landscape is a Jorge Rocha’s performative action in monuments where the environment of its territory is reflected in the collection of information of an epoche, crossed with the eating habits of contemporary society.
In each historical site, Jorge setup a makeshift infrastructure where artist together with the monument researchers, leads a performative Talk Show, cooking and live broadcasting on Internet, gathering the virtual and physical public in synesthesia.
Starting from a menu made from references he found in between the lines of archeology and reflecting on the unique characteristics of each site, we address landscap and heritage issues based on each place.
